Our Pasts

~ "Live In The Now Of Things" ~

Many people are held back by their pasts.  I too, allowed my past to keep me from moving
Forward.  I rejected love because I had been hurt.. I feared good things because I
Had convinced myself that anything good would turn bad, as it most often did
In my past.  I held onto anger because I thought it would be easier to hang onto,
Than it would be to forgive. Holding onto the negative from our pasts is
Only hurting us.  It is only once we realize that fact that we will be able
To begin our healing process.

     Once you have come to the realization that you are only hurting yourself by hanging
Onto the negatives from your past, you can begin your healing process.
I began by listing all of the things that I was ready and willing to deal with.
I then asked myself what I would have to do in order to get past these issues
What would it take for me to find forgiveness?  As with letting go of resentment,
Which may come into play while dealing with your past, you will first need to be at a place,
Within yourself, that you are willing to feel the feelings that come along with the issues
You are confronting. Being willing to feel the feelings will play a major role in the process
Of letting go and moving forward to finding forgiveness.  Letting go of our past
And forgiving does not mean that we have to forget.  Do not dwell on your past,
Instead use it as a tool.  A tool to help yourself from making the same mistake twice,
If you're ever faced with a similarly challenging situation.

      Live, learn and by all means move forward, today is too valuable
To let go to waste, by dwelling on things we can not change!
